Abstract

Between the 12th and 13th centuries, the consolidation of the institutions of the Bassano municipality is linked to the growing influence of the da Romano family. The close ties between Ezzelino III da Romano and Bassano society in the 1240s are demonstrated by the accounting records, published in the appendix.
